Innovations of education in hippotherapy - Extending lector competences - results

The project aimed to increase the expertise of EFT lecturers/tutors. Furthermore, to share and acquire new knowledge and skills needed to introduce innovative methods in EFT successfully. Our partners were the Bulgarian Horse Therapy Association from Sofia and the Turkish University Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli from Nevsehir.

The first goal was to extend EFT lecturers' knowledge and skills needed to initiate, share, and successfully implement innovative EFT/hippotherapy methods, which will permanently increase this method's quality and effectiveness in each partner country. We wanted to achieve the goals by implementing four working meetings of current and future EFT lecturers. This objective, despite the problems associated with the covid-19 quarantine measures, has been fully met. All four planned project meetings were realized with the complete number of participants from all organizations. As part of the mobility, we got acquainted with new teaching methods, including the possibilities of using modern technologies, enriched ourselves with lecturers from other European countries and expanded our intercultural competencies, not least based on different horseback riding traditions of each participating country. This newly acquired knowledge and skills will be implemented in innovative educational programs accessible to the professional and lay public throughout the EU.

The second goal was to write a practical tool - a manual - Introduction to the EFT Methodology. The resulting methodological support was completed based on continuously gained experience, shared discussions and represented a manual for the implementation of Quality Standards in EFT practice. This methodology is not only teaching support for lecturers. It also supports the development of the EFT method in partner countries. The methodology's creation was not financed from grant funds, yet it is part of our project result. The EFT methodology also forms the foundation for an e-learning course in English accessible online for the public.

The third goal was to create a concept and curriculum for a virtual educational program as an e-learning tool. Regarding the e-learning course setting, the participants agreed on the e-learning module and web hosting and its content. This course will form the basis of the curriculum for training modules in partner organizations. The creation of e-learning was not financed from grant funds, yet it is part of our project result. The administration of e-learning is the responsibility of the Coordinator.

Success beyond the project is the creation of partners educational programs. During the project, educational systems were created for our partners. All partners are already presenting new educational activities on their social networks and websites based on the experience gained during this Erasmus+ project.
